Downtown campus and Information Sessions

Visit the downtown campus! Here are some details to keep in mind:

  • Tours last about 1 hour 15 minutes and are conducted largely outdoors so please dress accordingly.
  • Tours start at the Welcome Centre, located at 3415 McTavish Street (corner Sherbrooke Street West).
  • Tours are available on weekdays ONLY as administrative buildings and classrooms are closed to visitors on weekends.
  • Tours are led by student tour guides representing different nationalities and academic disciplines.
  • Residence rooms are not always available to view; particularly during move-in period from mid-August to mid-September and during the Fall and Winter exam periods. To take a virtual tour of McGill Residences, please visit the Student Housing website.
  • The athletics facilities are not included on the tour; however, it is possible to visit on your own either before or after the tour. No reservation is required.

Tours for individuals or families can be booked up to 48 hours ahead of time. Upon completing your online reservation, you will instantly receive an email confirming your tour booking. If you want to join a tour on shorter notice, please contact us at welcome@mcgill.ca or 514 398-6555 to ask about possible tour departure times.

SCHOOL GROUPS
 

The Welcome Centre can arrange special downtown campus tours for groups of 10 or more students and their counsellors. Group tours can be arranged upon request, with a minimum of one week advanced notice.
